Happy New Year!!
What a year 2008 has been for us!! New city, new baby, new jobs, wow! We are so thankful for all that we have been blessed with during this incredible year. Daphney continues to bring us new surprises each day. She is becoming very verbal and is interacting with us more and more each day. This past week I started back to work... very sad. My dear sweet mom came over to Jackson to help me with the transition. Too bad she can't just be my nanny! Here are some pics of her in the nursery having some fun!

Baby Einstein
Part of Daphney's Christmas was Baby Einstein videos. I was not sure if she would be able to watch the TV but she was mesmerized. Some would call this bad parenting, but a little TV time never hurt anybody...Look how good Donald turned out...:)

First Christmas in Jackson!!!
Our first Christmas in Jackson has come and gone. It was a memorable one with many "firsts". Daphney racked up with tons of books and toys on her first visit from Santa. Another first, I did ALL the cooking and everything turned out yummy! Donald's parents and brother drove in to celebrate with us. The day was absolutely wonderful!

Week 11 fun
Daphney has learned a few new tricks. She now can roll over (tummy to back) if the mood is right, and she has made friends with her fists. She holds them in front of her face and either gives them an inquisitive look or stuffs them in her mouth. This past weekend we were back in sweet home Alabama for some festive Lemsky family fun.

Toys!!!
Daphney received this fun toy from Santa Clause (ie grandmother). It was at the top of her list...:) It is absolutely the cutest rocking bunny I've every seen. Too bad she can't ride it. Nonetheless, it will make a cute nursery ornament until then! If you look close in the bottom left hand corner of the second pic you can see Jackson getting real excited about the rocking bunny. He thinks it is his special friend to play with.

'Tis the season
I can't believe that Christmas is almost here. This year for the first time I opted for an artificial tree. It was easier but I am not sure how I am warming up to the idea. You can't beat the smell of a fresh evergreen in the house.
We thought it would be fun to stuff Daphney in a stocking. Obviously she didn't fit.
And we can't forget Jackson,... standing guard

REWIND...
I am new to the blogging thing, so the past 10 weeks are going to be summed up in just one post. Daphney has a lot of traveling/events under her belt. Visits to Birmingham for Thanksgiving, first trip to church, bath time, delivery/hospital, Old Baker Farm festival, and other random pics around the house are here to bring everyone up to speed.
